Izaak Alexander Gonzalez
Izaak is a graduate of Texas State University, a proud military veteran, and a former enlisted member of the United States Coast Guard. He has been teaching and coaching Elementary Physical Education in Round Rock ISD, since 2012.
My Story
Izaak is the son of Ruben and Sandra Lee Gonzalez and has two brothers, (Erik and Michael) and one
sister, (Tanya.) Izaak grew up in Deep South Texas in the western part of the Rio Grande Valley and was
very fortunate to be exposed to every possible sport in the book. Basketball, Cross Country, Tennis, Golf,
and Dance, consumed most of his teenage extracurricular activities in the most positive ways. Izaak was a standout middle school and high school athlete but ultimately chose academics over athletics after graduating with honors, from Roma High School in 2001.
As a current member and player of the HUDEF PICKLEBALL PRO TEAM, Izaak has relentlessly worked his
way up the pickleball playing ladder and is currently representing HUDEF at the highest level. He began
his competitive playing journey as a novice 3.5 player in 2020 and has since then risen to now competing
against some of the game’s elite top ranked 5.0+ and professional pickleball players in the world. Izaak is
fairly new to the professional playing scene but has already gotten a taste of facing high level players in
tournaments such as; Riley Newman, Tyson McGuffin, Matt Wright, John Cincola, Brandon French,
Stefan Auvergne, Rob Nunnery, Brandon Nsekpong, Wyatt Stone, Eduardo Irizarry, Jhonnatan Medina
Alvarez, Jack Munro and several other talented and rising pickleball pros. Izaak has done a phenomenal
job of representing TEAM HUDEF and embodies the company’s spirit, values, and drive. Off the courts,
Izaak is a remarkable ambassador of the game, an asset to his pickleball community, and an inspiration
to his family, friends, and elementary kids and local youth.
Izaak states that his purpose as a person and as a competitor is to help motivate, serve, and inspire
others. His two playful daughters, Emmery and Eleinna, along with his lovely wife Nayeli, are into the
wonderful sport of pickleball also. Izaak and Nayeli enjoy playing side by side and Nayeli plays
recreationally and even competitively as much as possible when time allows as well. Izaak enjoys doing
private lessons on the side and loves working with his 5th grade pickleball club students and players at
the school where he currently serves. We are beyond proud, grateful, and thrilled to have Izaak join the
team and partner in shaping the future of The Family Pickle.
